REMINDER: Reporting requirement for ACOs

If you are in an ACO,
you do not need to submit PQRS data.

There has been some confusion about reporting deadlines for Accountable Care Organization (ACO) participants, so here is a recap of key points:

Zika Virus Outbreak: Update #2

The NH DHHS issued a health alert on March 1, regarding the Zika virus in New Hampshire.

NH Division of Public Health Services (NH DPHS) draws your attention to the following:

1) Today, the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is announcing the first New Hampshire resident confirmed with Zika virus. The adult female patient contracted the virus after sexual contact with a male who had a compatible illness following travel to a country where Zika virus transmission is ongoing. The patient has fully recovered and is not pregnant.

Mumps Outbreak on New Hampshire College Campus

Meaningful Use Hardship Exemption

February 17, 2016

Prior to adjourning for the holidays, Congress passed the Patient Access and Medicare Protection Act (PAMPA), which directed the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to make AMA-supported changes to the Medicare EHR Incentive Program hardship exception process that allows physicians to avoid a Meaningful Use (MU) penalty in 2017.
