NHMS EVP Scott Colby's op ed article addressing the controversy of Medicaid expansion and thanking our political leaders for their work on the issue was recently sent to the Concord Monitor, Nashua Telegraph, Citizen of Laconia, Portsmouth Herald, Foster's Daily Democrat, Union Leader, Keene Sentinel, and Valley News.  Copies were also delivered to Gov.

Medicare 2014 Fees

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) wants to ensure that the 2014 fee schedules for Medicare Part B are known to all physicians.

Offices looking for assistance can search for fee schedules by state and type of service at www.ngsmedicare.com. Search tools are available by individual code or entire file, but many find the individual code search easier to navigate.  

Current legislation expires on March 31, 2014,  so another update will be forthcoming.

The New Hampshire Health Alert Network (NHHAN) is the primary means of providing rapid and current New Hampshire-specific medical information to practitioners and public health partners statewide.  The NHHAN is a 24/7/365 comprehensive system for information sharing, and it may provide public health emergency risk communication necessary to enable recipients to respond to events that may have an urgent public health impact.  NHHAN is also used to promote situational awareness of evolving events or potential public health threats.

Medicare Change and How It Affects You! - New and Revised information!

Beginning October 25, 2013 at 5:00 pm, the Medicare Part B workload will be transitioned from NHIC Corp. Medicare to the new National Government Services Jurisdiction K (JK) A/B MAC. What does this mean for you? It means that you should contact your EDI vendor and it is recommended that you Early Board to avoid any delay during the transition.
