Best Minute of Your Day Campaign

Prevent Diabetes StatMore than 84 million American adults have prediabetes, but nearly 9 of 10 people don’t know they have it. That’s why, today, the American Medical Association, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in collaboration with the Ad Council, will launch a new version of the award-winning prediabetes public service campaign. Entitled the “Best Minute of Your Day,” the new attention-grabbing video series uses animals from America’s favorite viral videos to get more adults to take a one-minute online prediabetes risk test and learn where they stand.

Featuring both English and Spanish creative elements, the initiative aims to reach millions of adults, ages 40 to 60, who may be unaware that they have prediabetes. This includes highlighting testimonials from patients who have participated in an evidenced-based Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) and achieved optimal health outcomes.

The good news is you and your members can access practical resources by visiting Prevent Diabetes STAT. There, you will learn more about prediabetes as well as screening, testing and referring patients to a nearby National Diabetes Prevention Program.

Since the launch of the campaign last year, more than a million people have visited, and nearly half a million people have completed the risk test. Additionally, the campaign has garnered both national and international acclaim including a Cannes Lions award for outstanding public relations and the David Ogilvy award for world impact.
