Advanced Wilderness Life Support Faculty from Dartmouth Hitchcock’s section of Emergency Medicine will be hosting an Advanced Wilderness Life Support (AWLS) course October 5-8 at the AMC lodge at Mt. Washington, NH, Joe Dodge Lodge.

The mission of AWLS is to create competence in medical professionals, enabling them to prevent and effectively manage emergency medical situations outside traditional medical facilities.

If you spend time outdoors or in resource limited settings, this course will help prepare you to manage medical emergencies in a wide variety of settings from high altitude to underwater.

Additionally, there are an increasing number of opportunities to become involved in wilderness medicine in our region.  They are looking for people to participate in this course with the  possibility of training to be wilderness medicine  providers and educators going forward.
