Suicide Prevention Symposium:
Defning the Peer Workforce in New England and Exploringtheir Roles in Transitions of Care

June 17, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Greenfield Community College, Greenfield, MA

The New England Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) is a SAMHSA-funded collaborative network to support training and technical assistance, resource creation/dissemination, and workforce development for the New England states. One of their priorities is to build the capacity of the behavioral health community to integrate peers with lived experience into the workforce, particularly in roles that support individuals who are facing transitions of care. As part of these efforts, they are offering this free symposium on June 17th. This kicks off their Suicide Prevention Learning Collaborative.

The agenda includes a presentation from team members at Zero Suicide (including representation from New England states with Zero Suicide involvement), as well as a panel of peers with lived experience and a brainstorming activity to expand our understanding of this important topic area.
