Medicare Change and How It Affects You! - New and Revised information!

Beginning October 25, 2013 at 5:00 pm, the Medicare Part B workload will be transitioned from NHIC Corp. Medicare to the new National Government Services Jurisdiction K (JK) A/B MAC. What does this mean for you? It means that you should contact your EDI vendor and it is recommended that you Early Board to avoid any delay during the transition.

All connectivity to the Gateway MUST be obtained via a Network Service Vendor (NSV). You can view VSN profiles at:

The Early Boarding opportunity is available with National Government Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). This means your vendor can pre-enroll you with National Government Services (NGS), and your claims will be automatically rerouted back to NHIC Corp. until the October cutoff date. This will ensure a seamless transition. Questions can be directed to 888-379-9132.

Your vendor will also need to update the contractor number for the state of New Hampshire which will be 14312 for all claims submissions after 5:00pm on October 25, 2013.

A detailed mailing with all contract change information was mailed to all offices in New Hampshire.

NHMS has met with a representative from NGS and will continue to disseminate information to you as it becomes available.

NGS also recommends joining the Listserv/Email updates program as described at the bottom of their Medicare website.
