Dr. John Klunk Inaugurated as 188th President of NHMS

John Klunk, MD was inaugurated to a capacity audience as the 188th president of the New Hampshire Medical Society during its 2019 Scientific Conference this past weekend at the Omni Mt. Washington in Bretton Woods.

Dr. Klunk serves as the Chief Quality Officer for the Elliot Medical Group’s ambulatory practices. In that capacity, he has worked to bring a system-level approach to providing consistently high quality, evidence-based care to the tens of thousands of patients served throughout the greater Manchester community in the ambulatory practices of the Elliot Health System.

John also continues to practice combined internal medicine and pediatrics in the Elliot’s primary care practice in Raymond as he has for the past 17 years.

Dr. Klunk graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a degree in cell biology, attended medical school at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and completed a residency in combined internal medicine and pediatrics at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.

John grew up in southern Connecticut and moved to New Hampshire in 2001 after completing his residency. He lives in Bow with his wife and three children. They take every opportunity to enjoy the unparalleled natural beauty of the NH outdoors throughout the year.

In the coming year, Dr. Klunk will be focusing on how to address the social determinants of health across the Granite State.
