New Hampshire Medical Society Announces New Executive

Concord, NH - After an extensive nationwide search, the Council of the New Hampshire Medical Society has selected James G. Potter, from the greater Washington, DC, area, as its new Executive Vice President.

 James Potter, CAE"Jim is an experienced leader with a proven track record of results," said Dr. Travis Harker, Medical Society past president and chair of the Search Committee. "The Council was impressed not only by his broad management experience with medical and healthcare professional associations and proven advocacy expertise, but also with his passion for the medical community's mission." 

"It is an honor to have this opportunity to serve the smart, compassionate and innovative physicians of the Granite State," said Potter. "I am thrilled to join the top-notch Medical Society staff team, and look forward to working with its members, Council and other healthcare organizations, to make a difference in the health and lives of New Hampshire patients and their families." 

Potter is coming from executive experience at several national healthcare organizations, including the American College of Radiology, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Chiropractic Association. He also worked for the American Medical Association and has served on a number of nonprofit boards. 

Potter holds a master's degree in public policy and undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and is an avid New England Patriots fan.
