The Executive Council met last week, including members of the search committee that identified Jim Potter as our new Executive Vice President. The sole agenda item was to develop a mid-year evaluation of Jim in order to give him feedback and help develop a process going forward for the rest of the year and beyond. In addition to those present, the staff of the office was interviewed and all of the Council members were asked for their impressions as well. We then met with Jim as a smaller group to give him direct feedback. This was a very pleasant and enjoyable meeting, as the message was direct and clear; the Executive Council, and the Council in general as representatives of our society membership, are uniformly delighted with his performance, delighted to have him as our friend and colleague and 100% behind him as he continues to work diligently on our behalf to forward the vision and mission of the New Hampshire Medical Society: to make New Hampshire a state in which personal and public health are high priorities; all people have access to quality healthcare and physicians experience deep satisfaction in the practice of medicine; and to bring together physicians to advocate for the well-being of our patients, for our profession and for the betterment of the public health.

Thank you Jim, and a warm welcome to New Hampshire to your family and you.
