- Alternate health care delivery systems and insurance options;
- The role of the non-physician health practitioner;
- The cost of medical care;
- The role of the environment in public health;
- To strengthen the New Hampshire Medical Society and its influence on state health matters by:
- Educating physicians concerning the necessity of involvement in State Medical Society affairs;
- Increasing Society membership;
- Increasing the involvement and activity of the component county medical societies by means of workshops for newly elected county society officers;
- Keeping Society members well and regularly informed of the activities and achievements of the state medical society;
- Encouraging and supporting the professional independence of physicians regardless of their type of reimbursement;
- Bringing the specialty societies together and working with them more closely;
- Adopting firm public stands on health care issues;
- Investigating alternate physician payment options;
- Working with consumer groups on health care matters;
- Promoting home and hospice medical care;
- To promote the availability of medical care at a reasonable cost as a right rather than a privilege but also upholding the right of physicians to be paid a reasonable and realistic fee for their services.
