NHMS Council Adopts Resolution on Narrow Networks

On Dec. 11, the New Hampshire Medical Society Council adopted a resolution to encourage fair and transparent contracting between providers and insurers.  The goal of this resolution is to ensure minimal disruption to the physician-patient relationship as select or narrow networks take hold in New Hampshire.  This resolution comes in the aftermath of the launch of the healthcare marketplace, or health insurance exchange, where several health systems (and, of course, their physicians) have been left outside of the provider network for the exchange insurance product.  As you may know, this phenomenon is not unique to New Hampshire and is being seen across the country.  Click here to read the resolution.
