Scabies Exposure at CMC and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester

The NH DHHS issued a health alert on March 4, regarding scabies exposure in Manchester, New Hampshire.

NH Division of Public Health Services (NH DPHS) draws your attention to the following:

Key Points and Recommendations
1. Crusted (Norwegian) scabies was identified in a patient who received medical care at Catholic Medical Center (CMC) and Dartmouth-Hitchcock (D-H) Manchester clinic locations in Manchester, NH.
2. Individuals who visited certain clinic locations at CMC or D-H Manchester during a defined period of time (see recommendations below), should be evaluated for scabies and either receive treatment (if active infection), or be offered prophylaxis.
3. Catholic Medical Center and D-H Manchester are offering clinics on March 9th, 10th, and 11th to administer prophylaxis to those at risk for scabies.
