Medicaid Expansion 101 - What is it and how does it impact my patients and practice?
Join us on Wednesday, February 8th from 6:00- 7:00 pm for a webinar focused on The Granite Advantage Health Care Program also known as Medicaid Expansion. Our goal is a give you an opportunity to learn about this program and how it has impacted New Hampshire's healthcare system. NHMS Director of Advocacy, Michael Padmore will lead the discussion and be joined by NHMS Council members - Dr. Marie Ramas, MD, Dr. Patrick Ho, MD, and Lucy Hodder, JD.
What is Medicaid Expansion?
The Granite Advantage Health Care Program is up for reauthorization in 2023. This program expanded Medicaid coverage to patients who had previously not qualified for benefits, giving them access to critical healthcare services and medications. Without reauthorization by the state legislature, Medicaid Expansion will expire on December 31, 2023, and thousands of patients across New Hampshire will lose access to their health insurance.
The New Hampshire Medical Society will play a key role in helping lawmakers understand the impact this program has had on our patient population across the state. We need to tell those stories. Join us on February 8th to learn more!
