Tuition:

Year 1 and Year 2: $3,900 per year, including instructional materials and continental breakfast for on-site sessions. It does not include travel and the possible cost of overnight accommodations.

Requires a two-year commitment.

Program Duration:

2 years: October 1, 2025, to May 2027

In-Person Dates for Year One: October 1, October 29, November 19, March 25, 2026,  April 15, 2026, May 20, 2026. Year 2 will start in late September 2026.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations will be accepted without charge if written notice is received by the New Hampshire Medical Society office by the following cancellation schedule:

Days prior to program Associated Cancellation Fees   
 31 Days or more Full Refund
30 – 15 Days 75% of Program Fee refunded
14 Days or less 0% of Program Fee refunded

   

The program is targeted to practicing physicians and advanced healthcare leaders who have taken on increasing levels of responsibility in their careers and aspire to be outstanding leaders. The NHPLDP is beneficial to leaders with diverse backgrounds in health care, including within the industries of delivery, policy, foundations, administration, and global health.

Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • Commitment to complete the entire two-year curriculum.
  • 3-5 years experience and an interest in executive leadership.

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • A desire to help shape the future of healthcare
  • A willingness to learn and grow as healthcare leaders
  • A drive to influence the practice of medicine within your practice or health system

Selection Process:

Each year the New Hampshire Physician Leadership Development program selects up to 20 leaders from across the state for each cohort.

Acceptance:

Acceptance letters will be emailed after approval. Upon acceptance into the program, you will be invoiced for the annual cost of tuition, which is due 15 days from the date of invoice. Individual payment plans can be arranged.

  • Build on adult professional learning styles by providing longitudinal learning experiences through a case-based curriculum.
  • Encompass learning highly relevant to physician/health care leaders' life experiences.
  • Accommodate busy lives by scheduling 12 in-person sessions over 2 years.
  • Develop practical insights and skills directly applicable to practice opportunities and challenges.
  • Strengthen executive leadership skills for healthcare leaders across disciplines and practice settings.

UNH’s Graduate School has approved the waiver of up to two MBA elective courses (a total of 6 credits out of the 36 required for the degree) to MBA candidates who have successfully completed all requirements of the NH Physician Leadership Development Program, including the project. This will reduce costs and time to earn a degree for any NHPLDP graduates who choose to pursue the MBA within five (5) years of NHPLDP completion.
