Celebrating the 2025 Graduates of the NH Physician Leadership Development Program

On May 7, 2025, the New Hampshire Medical Society (NHMS) proudly celebrated the graduation of its latest Physician Leadership Development Program (NHPLDP) cohort.

This year's graduates are: Shawn Sutton, Shawn Harrington, Delia Hendrick, Almos Nagy, Khosro Farhad and Chelsey Lewis.

This milestone marks the culmination of a rigorous two-year journey designed to cultivate physician leaders equipped to drive meaningful change across New Hampshire’s healthcare landscape.

Developed in collaboration with the New Hampshire Hospital Association and the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics and College of Health and Human Services, the NHPLDP offers a comprehensive curriculum that blends leadership, management, and communication training. The program is tailored for practicing physicians and advanced healthcare leaders seeking to enhance their leadership capabilities.

Over the course of 12 in-person sessions spread across two years, participants engaged in case-based learning experiences that emphasized practical application. The program’s structure accommodates the demanding schedules of healthcare professionals, with sessions held three times each in the fall and spring, allowing for a summer hiatus.

The May 7 graduation ceremony not only honored the achievements of the cohort but also underscored NHMS’s commitment to fostering physician leadership. As these graduates step into roles of greater influence, they carry forward the program’s mission: to empower physicians to lead from the bedside to the boardroom, effecting positive change within their organizations and the broader healthcare system.

Applications for the next NHPLDP cohort, commencing in September 2025, are now open. Interested physicians and healthcare leaders are encouraged to apply by August 30, 2025. For more information and to apply, please visit the NH Physician Leadership Development Program page.
