NHMS Advocate of the Year Award
This award honors a physician whose exceptional advocacy advances the Society’s legislative and policy priorities, strengthens the medical profession, and promotes the health and well-being of patients and communities across New Hampshire.
This year's advocate of the year Award was given to Dr. Frances Lim-Liberty, MD. Dr. Lim-Liberty is a board certified pediatric endocrinologist, having received her medical degree from Rush Medical College, completing residency and chief residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and fellowship at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She now practices pediatric endocrinology in New Hampshire, and is the medical director of the Pediatric and Adolescent Transgender Program at Dartmouth Health Children’s.
She demonstrates steadfast commitment to ensuring transgender and gender-diverse patients receive respectful, equitable, and evidence-based care. Through her efforts to educate clinicians, advocate for inclusive care environments, and elevate the needs of these communities, she has made a lasting, positive impact on patient health and well-being.
